Early Career Fellow
Dr. Mayank Garg has joined IIT Gandhinagar as an Early Career Fellow after completing his Ph.D. from Academy of Scientififc and Innovative Research (AcSIR at CSIR, Chandigarh). He was recipient of SRF (GATE) from CSIR-HRDG, New Delhi, India. During his Ph.D., he was awarded Newton-Bhabha Ph.D. placement fellowship 2018-19 for which he worked at the University of Hull, UK in the area of microfluids. He has also secured International Travel funding from SERB to attend International conference on Microfluidics in Switzerland. His research interests are the development of low-cost point-of-care biosensors and wearable biosensors. He has published his work in well reputed SCI journals of high impact factor and book chapters.
Doctoral Candidates
Panchami has received her B.Tech degree from Nirma University, Ahmedabad in Chemical Engineering and M.Tech degree from PDPU, Gandhinagar. She finished her M.Tech dissertation work at RIL R&D, Vadodara. She is currently working on synthesizing thermoresponsive K-Carregeenan hydrogels for different applications such as 3D Bioprinting and Bioremediation.
Sanchari completed Bachelors (BSc.) in Chemistry from Calcutta University (Lady Brabourne College) and Masters (MSc.) in Biochemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University. She has qualified GATE (2020, 2021), DBT (LS) (2020), JGEEBILS (2021) and received the CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) Fellowship (2018-19) for merit in the National Level Chemsitry Entrance Examination jointly conducted by CSIR-NCL and Department of Chemistry, SPPU. Apart from spending time in the lab, she loves to go on walks on campus, devour books and sip on some late-night caffeine.

M.Tech. Students
Manjot Singh pursued his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Gandhinagar. He is currently working on chitosan films and their characterization as a part of his M.Tech thesis.
Ratnika finished her B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Vellore Institute of technology, Vellore campus. She is a second rank holder in B.Tech. In her M.Tech project she is working on nanocomposite chitosan hydrogels. She is trying to enhance the mechanical strength of chitosan by physical modification and also by adding nanofillers to chitosan.
